The Attack of Crashing Oceans
by Richard Barton

The magnet of oneness
attracted a heart of living steel
into the station of nearness.

so I fled to the Truth
in longing and eagerness –
my state was disturbance and intimacy,
and loss and ecstasy,
and. veiling and unveiling.

the suns of the dawns of power
passed to the sunsets of the hidden,
and intimacy was bequeathed to me.

disastrous states descended upon me,
and crashing oceans of light attacked me.

the Truth appeared to me in clothes of loveliness
with a strange beauty and a strange majesty
in a-strange state.

here the knowers of God, love him,
and those with longing rave for him,
and those who proclaim one God
vanish away.
